Base Fish Points

The cutthroat trout is a medium sized fish native to Kanan Lake. It is a bit rare but it is much thinner than the Brook Trout that lives there. It can also be identified by its signiture red "cutthroat" trait. This "trait" is that if you look on a real life cutthroat trout, you will see small red markings on the lower jaw. This red marking is not blood, and is unique only to the cutthroat trout. This fish is native to western America, and has several subspecies such as the Snake River cutthroat trout, Greenback cutthroat trout, and Yellowstone cutthroat trout.

Tips & TricksEdit

  • Drive back to the dead tree found on the East side of Reed Point. Found multiple Cutthroat Trout here.
  • If you go really close to the 2 dead trees you will see many fish. Go for the really small silver-looking ones.

These fish are smaller than you would imagine. They are always visible underwater. Look for that tiny fish with S-M rod. Guarenteed hit in a day if you know to look for a tiny, brown-trout like fish. Once hit, it is a piece of cake to reel in on any rod.
