The Hyneria is a frigid fish found at Kanan Lake. It is the monster fish of Kanan Lake. It is a huge fish with a distinctive body shape and the only XL-sized fish found at its location. This fish is very powerful and will run all of your line if you are not careful.

Techniques[]
As a monster fish, Hyneria is surprisingly common. Furthermore, when it does appear, its huge body gives it away as nothing else looks like it. Rainbow Bait works best for this fish. You can use Blue Bait and Quick Hitter for cheaper alternatives, but they have lower chances to make the fish actually bite. For lures, use Black Goby Toy Spoon or Fish Gripper Swimming Lure. Use X-999 Titan and X-009 Infinity combo for best results as this fish loves to fight.
Hyneria tends to swim along the shorelines, which you can exploit for your advantage. Approach slowly with the Motorboat (do not use the Kayak; it takes too long) and make sure it is between you and the shore. This way, it will keep running into the wall, giving you time to tire it out. This will also make sure the fish does not run out all of your line. Reel in short bursts for the best chance of catching this fish. The Hyneria fights hard, so be prepared for a difficult battle once you manage to hook it.

- Hyneria and Coelacanth are sarcopterigians, a group of fish with lobe fins. However, Hyneria was more closer to the living tetrapods and had went extinct since million years ago.
- Hyneria is the only large fish found on Penangkapan Island.
