The Safir Cave is a large, "secret" cave located at the northern coast of Penangkapan Island. To access this place, take the Cruiser and look for a pier with bunch of buoys nearby. Dock there and rent an inflatable raft to enter the cave. Also, you can see the fish at this location prior to unlocking the Cruiser via the submarine tour from Kerikil River bulletin board.

This cave has a pillar in the middle of its rear, splitting it into two areas. The fish here are all deep-sea species, unless you count the John Dory that can occasionally be found here despite it being a coastal species. Sight is a major problem in this place, as the cave is quite dark and the light from outside starts to weaken at midday. Thus, you must pay extra attention when aiming for particular fish. Additionally, Safir Cave is one of the only two areas where you may snag fossils

Outside the cave, you can't see these but you can catch Horse Mackerel, Mackerel and Rainbow Runner.

Fish[]

There are 12 fish species, all of which are frigid except for the temperate John Dory. The other species are placed into Cold/Salt Tank #2 in the Aquarium, where the John Dory is placed into Temp/Salt Tank #2.

Trivia[]

  • In Indonesian and Malay, "safir" means sapphire.
  • The Safir Cave apparently serves at the "final location" in the game, as the highest rank (Fishing King) is obtained by catching a King of Herrings, which can only be found in this location.
