The White Sturgeon is a frigid fish found at Kanan Lake. It is a gigantic fish with pale white body, a snout with barbles on the undersides of it. It is the largest freshwater fish in the game and very powerful one; it will pull all of your line out if you are not careful. Despite being the largest fish found at Kanan lake, it is not the monster fish, the monster fish of kanan lake is the Hyneria. This fish is only available after you completing the quest "Kanan Fishing Test".

Techniques

Make sure you have the X-999 Titan rod andX-009 Infinity reel and a high enough rank, because this fish gives a long, brutal fight. Rainbow Bait is required as Quick Hitter and the colored baits are rather terrible at attracting it. The Goblin line of the Spoon Lures can work, however it is too risky to be any use unless you are very lucky.

The Sturgeon comes from the very deep part of the Emperor Hyde Hall. Rent the Motorboat (not the Kayak; it takes too much time to reach the area) and cruise around the hole slowly to not accidentally scare the fish away. When it appears, stop the boat and then cast the bait as close as the fish. It is quite skittish however, and might simply despawn after nibbling the bait. If it does bite, set the hook; It may just leaves after the first hit.

Beware, this fish is very hard to catch. It will run your line and it will most likely snap your line if your not careful. During the fight, keep the line in orange range! Any lower and the Sturgeon will dive on you and instantly breaking the line. Be very careful at where you should line the rod, as it will go into the red range really fast. Reel in short burst until the fish finally tired and you can reel it safely.

• Just like the various species of salmons, the White Sturgeon is anadromous, meaning it lives mainly in the sea, but go to freshwater for spawning.
• Like the sturgeons in the Europe, White Sturgeons are also farmed for their roe.
• It is reported that the White Sturgeon can lives for more than 100 years.
