The Giant Squid is an extremely large squid caught through trolling. It can be caught around the frigid ocean and near Sepuluh Island. It is one of the largest catchable creatures in the game, reaching about 23ft in A and S rank. It is extremely common around the Semblian Island area. They are also common near Tidur River area. In real life it is about 3 times bigger at 60-70 ft long. Many have been found dead and only a handful of Giant Squids have been caught on video in real life. Extremely rare in real life. It is a popular food with Sperm whales. The only other squid that even comes close to the size of this squid is the Colossal Squid, which is not longer than the Giant Squid, but heavier. They are one of the animals, like the NPGO, that are not really fish, but instead invertebrates/crustaceans. They often steal bait meant for smaller, rarer fish like the GWS. They fight really hard and will often break your line.

Techniques[]
As common as this animal is, you don't have to worry about not finding one. You just have to reel it in, and that's not easy. Some of the larger ones will reach up to 340 or so feet without even stopping. At that range, your line will snap. There's not much that can be done. Just try to get the most out of your reeling time and do the other two steps extremely quickly.
